May and June are an excellent time to jet off to the Mediterranean, whether you’re travelling with or without children. Quieter beaches and ideal sporting conditions make early summer a great time to escape to one of our resorts in Greece, Sardinia, or Turkey.
At the beginning of the summer season, the resorts and beaches are blissfully quiet, making it a perfect time for those in need of a peaceful break. The slightly milder weather is also appealing to many travellers; great for those who don’t enjoy the intense heat of July as well as little ones who will be more comfortable in the milder weather. It’s still warm enough to enjoy swimming in the pool and sports like tennis are always more pleasant when the heat isn’t too intense.
Speaking of tennis… one of our intensive tennis weeks falls in May this year, on the 19th, at Levante Beach Resort in Rhodes, which is a great opportunity to improve your skills with expert instructors and enjoy a sociable atmosphere. If cycling is more your thing, an early summer cycling holiday in Rhodes, Sardinia or Lemnos would be perfect, with smooth open roads and fabulous sea views. Most of the fitness classes we offer at the summer resorts are outside by the sea, so the fresh early summer air is the perfect setting. If you want to use your holiday as an opportunity to get fit in a beautiful Mediterranean setting, your children will be in great hands with our childcare facilities (for children ages 4 months to 17 years).
If that’s not enough, travelling in the early summer means that you’ll benefit from off-peak prices.
